Village chiefs conclave held

Chandel, January 10 2021:
Assam Rifles organised a village chiefs' conclave at Modi village in Chandel district, today.
The conclave was held to discuss and understand the ongoing security situation, pandemic control measures and issues pertaining to making Manipur drug free, said a statement of PRO IGAR (S) .
The conclave was attended by chiefs, secretaries and members from 10 remote villages of Chandel district.
The conclave began with discussions pertaining to the security situation in the region which was followed up by a discussion on the constant menace of narcotics smuggling and drug abuse amongst youths, it added.
