India will start this month a vaccination drive to inoculate about 300 million people against Covid-19, an exercise considered to be one of the largest immunization drives in the world. VACCINES APPROVED IN INDIA FOR EMERGENCY USE:

KEY MINISTRIES AND THEIR DUTIES:
Women and child development: Provide team members, support supervision and monitoring of vaccination
AYUSH: Provide authorized vaccinators
DEFENCE: Manage vaccine delivery in hard-toreach parts of India
FOOD AND CIVIL SUPPLIES: Support in providing coldstorage spaces and transport
DEPARTMENT OF POWER: Monitor and ensure uninterrupted power supply at vaccine storage points and vaccinations sites




Latest electoral rolls for Lok Sabha and legislative assembly elections will be used to identify population over 50 years. Age will be calculated based on the cutoff date of January 1, 2021 and anyone born on or before January 1, 1971 will fall under this category.
