Skeletal remains of missing minor boy found in water tank in Thane

Thane, Jan 10 (UNI) The skeletal remains of a seven-year-old boy who had been missing from Bhiwandi town of the district for about a month-and-a-half ago, was found in a water tank of a building in the town.
Based on the complaint filed by the parents of the boy, the local police had registered a case of kidnapping and initiated a probe into the crime.
The boy, Ahat, resident of Samroo Baugh of Bhoiwada, went missing on November 25 last year, police said.
On Saturday, when some boys from the locality experienced foul smell emnating from the tank while playing, they peeped in and found the body in the tank.
After being alerted about the body, the local police rushed to the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.
The local police who are probing into the crime have added sections 302 and 201 of Indian Penal Code to the already registered case and have launched a manhunt for the accused persons.
