JCB vehicle garlanded, welcomed

Thoubal, January 09 2021: In a bizarre news, a JCB excavator vehicle was garlanded and given a warm welcome today by the locals of Salungpham after a Court released it yesterday.

Large number of people cheered and welcomed the JCB and its owner today.

Notably, the JCB vehicle was seized by the police for taking part in a mass protest held recently denouncing the "pathetic" condition of the Salungpham to Wangjing road.

People of Salungpham had been praying for the release of the vehicle, said a statement issued by the United Clubs' Organisation.

The Court had ordered the release of the vehicle yesterday and it was taken back from the police today.

Rejoicing at the release of the JCB vehicle by the Court, a large number of locals, men, women and children garlanded it and the owner.

Even though the locals are happy that the vehicle has been released, the locals of Salungpham want good road connectivity.

The Government and the authorities concerned should reconstruct and blacktop the Salungpham to Wangjing section of the road, said the organisation.
