When will be PSL 6 Season Conducted?
The PCB is planning to host the sixth edition of PSL from February 20 to March 22 and the players draft is scheduled to be held on January 10.
Which all top players have entered PSL Season 7 Draft?:
Over 90 players from the West-Indies, 80 from England, 40 cricketers from Sri Lanka, around 30 from South Africa, 30 from Afghanistan, 20 from Bangladesh, 14 from Australia and eight from New Zealand have also registered themselves for the PSL players’ draft according to the Pakistan media.
Marquee players who have entered PSL Draft:
Various international tours are clashing with the dates of PSL: Sri Lanka’s series with West Indies, Bangladesh series with New Zealand, England’s series with India and Afghanistan’s series with Zimbabwe.
Who has registered for the PSL-6 draft?
PCB has announced 25 foreign players for the Platinum category, including Chris Gayle, Rashid Khan, Dawid Malan, and Dale Steyn “The West Indian representation on the Platinum list includes Dwayne Bravo who has represented Lahore Qalandars, Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators in the HBL PSL along with Carlos Brathwaite Lendl Simmons (Kings and Zalmi and Evin Lewis,” the press release said.
“The list also includes South Africa’s Morne Morkel and Rassie van der Dussen who are both yet to feature in the HBL PSL. The South African representation in the list also includes Imran Tahir (Multan Sultans), Colin Ingram (Kings and United), Rilee Rossouw (Gladiators and Sultans) and Dale Steyn (United). Afghanistan’s Mujeeb-ur-Rehman and Mohammad Nabi, Sri Lankan duo Thisara Perera and Isuru Udana as well as Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rahman and Nepal’s Sandeep Lamichanne are also on the list.
Doubts over some of the players who will available for the full PSL Season 6 – With draft just a couple of days away, the main concern for teams’ think tank is players’ availability due to packed international season.
Kieron Pollard – Only available for last week of the league only after he gets free from series against Lanka.
Thisara Perera and Isuru Udana – also doubtful due to the same series
Other Sri Lankan players who are doubtful for full PSL 6 – Niroshan Dickwella, Nuwan Pradeep, Dinesh Chandimal, Oshada Fernando, Suranga Lakmal and Lahiru Thirimanne
Moeen Ali, Dawid Malan, Chris Jordan – England all rounder is doubtful as he may be busy with England tour of India
Availability of Afghanistan’s Platinum trio – Rashid Khan, Mujeebur Rehman and Mohammad Nabi is also linked with the future of Afghanistan’s series against Zimbabwe.
