PM condoles loss of lives in plane crash in Indonesia

New Delhi, Jan 10 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday expressed deep grief over the loss of lives in plane crash in Indonesia.

In a tweet, the Prime Minister said, "Deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the unfortunate plane crash in Indonesia. India stands with Indonesia in this hour of grief."

A passenger plane of Indonesia’s Sriwijaya Air had on Saturday crashed into water not far from Jakarta, with suspected debris and body parts found in the area.

The jet was carrying 62 people when it disappeared from radar four minutes into its journey to Pontianak in West Kalimantan province.

On Sunday, signals thought to be from the jet's flight recorder were traced.
