Imphal, January 09 2021: A joint team of Thoubal District Police Commandos and Assam Rifles apprehended an active member of proscribed group PLA on January 5 at Langthabal.

Acting on a specific intelligence input, the joint team launched a thorough search operation along NH-102 and apprehended the member of proscribed group PLA, identified as self styled second lieutenant Soram Naocha alias Piktru of Nungaoi Awang Leikai, Imphal East, said a statement issued by PRO Assam Rifles.

The apprehended person was handed over to Khongjom PS for further legal action, added the statement.
