Two firefighters injured while dousing fire in Thane

Thane, Jan 9 (UNI) Two firefighters of the Thane Fire Brigade were injured while extinguishing fire in a shop at Wagle Estate shortly before midnight on Saturday, the civic sources said.
A fire broke out at Mard Maratha shop at Road No 28, near bus stop in Wagle Estate at around 2300 hours late tonight.
Two fire engines and as many rescue vehicles rushed to the scene to extinguish the fire.
While battling the blaze, two fire-fighters were injured and rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The extent of injury to the firemen was not specified by the officials.
The cause of fire has yet to be ascertained, sources added.
