Beaumont resident Kal Kincaid has started his term as president of the Associated General Contractors of Texas, an association of highway construction contractors responsible for building and maintaining the state’s vast network of roads and bridges.
Kincaid, president of Gulf Coast construction company, will serve a one-year term as head of the association that has more than 700 member companies. Kincaid is the first Beaumont resident to serve as president of the 97-year-old association.
AGC of Texas advocates on the behalf of the highway and municipal utility contracting industry on such issues as regulatory, safety and funding, involving the Texas Department of Transportation, the Texas Legislature and local governments.
Kincaid currently serves on the board of directors for the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce, Habitat for Humanity and Better Business Bureau Serving Southeast Texas. Gov. Greg Abbott appointed Kincaid to the Lower Neches Valley Authority in 2018.
Kincaid joined Gulf Coast, a CRH company, in 1991 after a five-year career at TxDOT following his college graduation. The business started in 1945 as Trotti & Thompson and operates in the Greater Beaumont and Houston market. Kincaid became company president in 2005.
Education First Federal Credit Union has appointed Bruce Clark as its new Chief Financial Officer.
Clark comes to Education First FCU from Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union in Live Oak, where he served as vice president of finance.
At Randolph-Brooks FCU, Clark was responsible for the management of a $3.2 billion portfolio comprising fixed rate agency CMO’s, fixed rate MBS, adjustable rate MBS and municipal securities.
