Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has given the New Year gift to women and the elderly. Actually, they have run 25 special buses for women and elderly people, in which they will be able to travel free. However, these buses will run only in Guwahati. According to the information, Chief Minister Sonowal flagged off the new Pink buses under the Brahmin Sarathi scheme. He said that this free bus service will help women and the elderly greatly.

Buses will run on five routes

He said that the new bus service of Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC) will give a new dimension to the welfare measures of the state governments in the new year. Please tell that these buses will run on five routes in Guwahati. During this, CM Sonowal also appealed to all passengers to take care of the buses.

Sonowal commended Transport Minister Chandra Mohan Patowari and all the staff of ASTC for their dedicated service during the Corona epidemic. Explain that during the Corona period, ASTC transported essential commodities to the northeastern regions and other parts of the country. Apart from this, they also brought back people trapped outside the state during the lockdown.
