Huge quantities of IMFL seized

Imphal, January 09 2021: CDO Imphal West detained three persons for transportating Indian made foreign liquor (IMFL) in two trucks on January 6 .

The detained persons have been identified as Pukhrambam Ajit Singh (40) of Hoja Dubalong Leikai, Assam, Longjam Jackson (32) of Maharabi Makha Leikai and Poujohnbo Chawang (27) of Dimapur United North Colony.

A total of 501 boxes containing 4,924 litres alcohol were recovered along with two mobile handsets.

The arrested persons and seized liquor have been handed over to the Excise Department, Lamphel.
