Training programme held

Imphal, January 09 2021: Women Platform for Development, Wangoi Bazar and Manipur Handloom and Handicraft Development Co-operation Limited (MHHDCL) organised a one day handloom and handicraft training programme at Wangoi Thounaojam Leikai.

At the programme, chairman of MHHDCL Sagolsem Angousana said that weaving is a noble profession practised since time memorial.

This profession can be carried out by both men and women from the comfort of their homes, he said and encouraged the weavers to play a pivotal role in improving the State's economy.

At the end of the programme, yarns and looms were also distributed to select weavers.
