ISL 2020-21: Sunil Chhetri fails again; East Bengal continues revival with second consecutive victory with 1-0 win over Bengaluru FC
Bengaluru FC’s (BFC) Indian Super League (ISL 2020-21) campaign took another beating after it slipped to a 0-1 defeat to SC East Bengal at the Fatorda Stadium on Saturday.
A first half goal from Matti Steinmann condemned Bengaluru to its fourth straight loss, a first for the club since it joined the ISL in 2017.
This was BFC’s first game since the club parted ways with Carles Cuadrat after the team’s recent run of poor results. Cuadrat’s assistant Naushad Moosa was the interim head coach in charge of the side.
Bengaluru remains sixth on the points table with 12 points after 10 matches, while East Bengal 10 points from as many matches.
