Indian equities settled higher at the end of the week. The benchmark index Nifty ended with a gain of 2.49% whereas Bank Nifty has ended 2.75% higher.
India’s retail inflation may come lower for the month of December as indicated by a poll of economists which suggests a retail inflation of 5.28% for December down from 6.93% in November.
According to Government data, Indian economy is expected to contract by 7.7% in the year 2020-2021, due to COVID led economic lockdown.
