The eighth round of negotiations between the government and farmer organizations was also inconclusive. Farmers' organizations remained adamant on the demand for withdrawal of all three agricultural laws, while the government flatly refused to consider the demand. During the conversation, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that it is better than the Supreme Court take a decision in this matter. Although not resolved in the talks, the two sides again agreed to come to the negotiating table on 15 January. However, after this meeting, a slip of farmers went viral, in which it was written 'Will die or win' in big letters, know what is the reason behind this...

There was tension on both sides at the beginning of this meeting which started after two o'clock in the afternoon. As soon as the meeting started, the farmers' organizations demanded the government to withdraw the three agricultural laws. The government, rejecting this demand, offered to discuss the provisions of the three laws to which the farmers' organizations objected. Meanwhile, farmer leader Balwant Singh wrote a note on 'Will you die or win'.

So the hoist slip

A leader present in the meeting said that when the government refused to withdraw the law, the farmer's leaders decided to hold silent in the meeting. However, during this time, he kept waving like slips. One of these slips was 'Will you die or win'. Seeing all this, the Union Minister present in the meeting went out of the meeting hall for advice.

Tu tu me me in the meeting

As soon as the meeting started, when the farmers' organizations demanded the withdrawal of the three laws in unison, the Agriculture Minister was angry. Farmers' organizations said that they have already told the government that the talks will only be on the return of law. On this, the Agriculture Minister said that the three laws are not for any particular state, but for the whole country. Farmers of other states are in support of these laws. In such a situation there is no question of withdrawal of the law. After the farmer's organizations stood by their demand, the Agriculture Minister said that it is better than the Supreme Court should make a decision in this regard.

Monday's hearing is important

The Supreme Court will hear the matter on Monday. This hearing is very important. The eyes of both the government and the farmers' organization are focused on this hearing and both the parties have planned to decide the future strategy in line with the stand of the Supreme Court. Apparently, what will happen next in the Kisan agitation case will depend on the stand of the Supreme Court in this hearing.

Our demand is clear from the beginning. We want the return of all three agricultural laws. We have repeatedly clarified our stand before the government. It is also clear that we will not go to court. Our movement will continue until the demands are met. - Hannan Mollah, farmer leader

The government only wants to talk about the amendment, while we want the law to return. Now there will be talks again on 15 January. Until the government does not accept our demand, there is no question of ending the movement.-Rakesh Tikait

India is a democratic country. In our democratic system, the Supreme Court has the right to analyze the law made by Parliament. The matter is being heard in the Supreme Court. In today's meeting, the government appealed to the farmers' organizations to discuss the provisions and withdraw the agitation. The government told the farmers' organizations that apart from withdrawing the law, the government is ready to negotiate all the demands of the farmers. Farmers' organizations are not presenting any alternative.-Narendra Singh Tomar
