Widow gang-raped in Chatra, two arrested

Chatra, Jan 8 (UNI) A widow in her mid-fifties was gang-raped at Kobna village under Huntarganj Police Station area of this district.
The culprits after committing the crime also inserted a small steel glass in the private part of the women. The incident had taken place on Thursday around midnight when the women had come out
for toilet.
Chatra SP Rishabh Kumar Jha on Friday said that out of three, two named accused have been arrested while the identity of an unnamed accused is being ascertained and he too will be nabbed soon.
He said that both the arrested have confessed to their crime. The SP said that he had also visited the victim in the hospital where her condition was stable. However, he said that the identity of the culprits was revealed once all of them are caught.
The woman has been admitted at a community health care centre in Huntarganj. Medical Officer of the hospital Dr Ved Prakash said that the condition of the woman was stable.
