Voice actor Brad Venable, whose work included roles in games like Devil May Cry 5 and World of Warcraft, has died. Has death has spurred a massive number of tributes from fellow voice actors, who remembered him as a kind and generous person who served as an inspiration for others.
"There aren't many people in this industry that treat me with the love and respect that you do," actor Darrel J Delfin said in a video on Twitter. "And when I show up to our coffee spot, it hurts knowing that I'm not going to walk up and see you."
Nier: Automata actor Kira Buckland echoed these sentiments in her own statement, calling him an "example of a light we should all strive to be."
Rest in peace, our dear friend @bradvenable.

One of the most truly kind, honest, selfless and generous people I have ever known in the voiceover community. The example of a light we should all strive to be.
I still have the gift you gave me hanging in my living room.
Actor Erica Mendez added that Venable treated everyone with kindness and made them feel supported, regardless of what stage they were at in their career.
If you didn't know @bradvenable, you were missing out. He was kind to every single person he knew. I don't think he gave himself the credit he deserved, but he was always there to be supportive of his colleagues, no matter what stage they were at in their career.

Venable's best-known role may have been as the bird familiar Griffin in Devil May Cry 5, whose wise-cracking remarks often irritated the other characters. But his list of roles is gargantuan, ranging from anime like Dragon Ball Z Kai to multiple voices in Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
No cause of death has been made public. Our thoughts go out to Brad Venable's friends and family.
