
GATE Admit Card 2021 Live Updates: The admit card of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2021 has been released. Over 8.82 lakh candidates who had registered for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2021 can download the admit card or call letter from the official website, gate.iitb.ac.in. The exam will be held from February 6, 7, 13, and 14. The result is expected to release on March 22.
A total of 8,82,684 candidates have applied for the GATE 2021, which is a slight increase from 8.59 lakh applications last year. Two new courses were introduced this year which allowed students from humanities backgrounds to apply as well. A total of 14,196 students have applied for newly introduced humanities subjects.
Overall, the number of female applicants exam has also seen a rise this year. A total of 2,88,379 female students have applied this year. This is an increase of about 10,000 from last year. Those who clear GATE will be eligible for admission to MTech courses at IITs as well as be eligible for jobs in PSUs.
Candidates who have registered for two papers in GATE 2021, need to download two separate admit cards from the GOAPS portal using the same login credentials. Two different admit cards will enable a candidate to appear for the two different papers of their allowed combination.
A total of 9,13,272 admit cards have been generated for GATE 2021 by C-DAC, among which 1775 are provisional due to non-rectification of defects mentioned after scrutiny.
The candidates can download GATE admit card through their individual login, using user id and password.

The exam will be a computer-based multiple-choice question or MCQ-based exam. The paper consists of two sections, and will carry 65 questions for a total of 100 marks
The eligibility criteria for GATE exam has been relaxed. As opposed to fourth-year graduation students, from this year on those studying in the third year of an undergraduate degree or having completed a three-year degree can also apply.
This year, there has been a change in the exam format as well as revision in the syllabus. The entire exam will be held computer-based format. The exam will be held for 27 subjects. The two new introductions being environmental science and engineering and humanities and social science. In humanities and social science students can opt for economics, English, linguistics, philosophy, psychology, and sociology exams.
