After the bitterness of Arunachal Pradesh, the snow in the BJP-JDU relationship has started melting. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar arrived at his home on Thursday to attend the shraddha karma of Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad's mother.
Earlier on December 25, when Prasad's mother passed away, Nitish neither went to his house nor attended the funeral. It is believed that he was angry at the demolition of JDU MLAs in BJP by Arunachal Pradesh. Generally, Nitish has been visiting his house of course after the death of someone in the family of his political colleagues and has been attending the funeral as well.
Cabinet expansion may happen soon
For the expansion of the cabinet, BJP wanted JDU leaders to come up with proposals but it did not happen. BJP had to go to JDU to dispel its displeasure.
The visit of two top BJP leaders to the JDU office and then Nitish's visit to Ravi Shankar Prasad indicates that the relationship between BJP and JDU is heating up and the cabinet may soon expand.
