Destiny 2's Season of the Hunt is winding down, and so are your chances to go Flawless in the Trials of Osiris before we roll over into the game's next batch of content. But there's still some time to work on this season's Flawless seal, as well as to earn yourself some new Adept weapons and mods.
Each week, the map on which Trials of Osiris matches are played rotates, as do the rewards you'll unlock for earning wins in the weekend multiplayer tournament. Here's a rundown of where you'll play this week's Trials matches and what you can get for winning:
Trials of Osiris Map And Rewards (January 8-12)
- Map: Dead Cliffs
- 3 wins -- Hunter, Warlock, or Titan Leg Armor: Boots, Legs, or Grieves of the Exile
- 5 wins -- The Summoner, Solar auto rifle
- 7 wins -- Hunter, Warlock, or Titan Class Item: Cloak, Bond, or Mark of the Exile
- Flawless run -- Eye of Sol, Kinetic sniper rifle
- Adept Mod: Charge Time
If you're unfamiliar with the Trials of Osiris, it puts you into some of the Crucible's most challenging PvP battles. While your goal in the Crucible is always to win, it's tougher in the Trials because you need multiple wins in a row. Notch seven winning matches without losing a single one and you'll earn what's known as a "Flawless" run. That gets you a trip to the Lighthouse--a special Trials social space--and exclusive rewards and recognition. In the Beyond Light expansion, opening the Flawless chest earns you an "Adept" weapon, which comes with extra stat boosts unavailable on any other guns in the game, as well as powerful Adept mods that are likewise unavailable anywhere else.
You don't have to make a Flawless run to earn rewards, though. When playing in Trials, you earn rewards and three, five, and seven wins. And while a loss will end your chances at a Flawless run, it doesn't mean you'll lose your chance at those incremental loot drops. Once you lose three matches total, however, you're forced to restart your Trials run from the beginning. To access the Trials, you'll need to see Saint-14 in the Tower to purchase a Trials card.
You'll also earn tokens for participating in Trials that you can spend with Saint on additional drops of Trials gear you've already earned--but you have to use any tokens you earn on the weekend you earned them, before the weekly reset on Tuesday.
