All diseases come from the gut and what you put in there. Sometimes there is overgrowth of bad bacteria or growth of opportunistic pathogenic fungus that affects health. Here’s how to spot if your gut is giving trouble.

Resetting or repairing the gut is very important in order to increase immunity. Gut reset is nothing but renewing gut lining. But always do it under a doctor’s supervision.

•  Stop all inflammatory foods such as gluten, dairy and any usual allergens such as smoking, eggs, peanuts and processed foods or alcohol for at least 21 days
•  Eating probiotics and prebiotics such as green leafy vegetables and high fibre foods helps
• Make your diet grain-free
• Go for meditation, yoga and breathing exercises, and avoid hard core workouts

Sometimes you might face physical problems while detoxing. Some may get a headache. To treat it, one needs to have enough good fats in the diet along with vegetable fibre. Detoxing can be repeated in a few months. Sometimes additional supplements are also needed for which it is best to seek the advice of an integrative practitioner.

After renewing the gut line, after care is important. You should start with adding back the foods slowly into your regime. But sometimes, people have intolerance to gluten-based products and foods which one should avoid and replace with alternate grains.
