Little Mix Scores UK No. 1 With 'Sweet Melody'

The girl group triumphed on the UK’s Official Charts as of Friday (January 8) with their hit “Sweet Melody,” which currently sits at No. 1.

The chart victory is an especially emotional one for fans, as member Jesy Nelson recently shocked the world by announcing her decision to leave the group after nearly a decade in the band. Click here to find out why.

This is the group’s fifth No. 1 in the UK. Jade Thirlwall told BBC Radio 1 the achievement was particularly important because it was “the last single we did as a four with Jesy. And it’s even more special that now, going into 2021 as a three, we’ve got the first number one,” she explained.
