Monster Hunter Rise Demo Downloads Take Nintendo eShop Offline

The Monster Hunter Rise demo for the Nintendo Switch is out now with a 1.6GB download size. Getting it though, is another matter entirely. Currently, the Nintendo eShop is down due to emergency maintenance most likely caused by the demand for Monster Hunter Rise. You can’t download the demo right now as we discovered. Trying to access the Nintendo eShop right now has you greeted with the following message:

“The server is currently undergoing maintenance. We apologise for any inconvenience. Please try later.”

Nintendo’s own customer support account tweeted a similar message.

If you’re able to download the Monster Hunter Rise demo, keep in mind that the quests for Great Izuchi and Mizutsune can be played a total of 30 times. After this, all four quests including the training ones will no longer be available. Also, save data transfer to the full game will not be possible. However, you will get bonuses in the full game for playing the demo.
