Hyderabad: In order to clear extra rush during Sankranti festival, South Central Railway will run special trains between Hyderabad – Visakhapatnam, Secunderabad – Tirupati and Secunderabad – Berhampur.
Accordingly, Train No. 07451 Hyderabad – Visakhapatnam Sankranti special train will depart Hyderabad on January 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 at 10.15 pm, arrive/ depart Secunderabad at 10.35 pm/ 10.40 pm and reach Visakhapatnam at 12 noon on the next day.
In the return direction, Train No. 07452 Visakhapatnam – Hyderabad Sankranti special train will depart Visakhapatnam at 8.45 pm, arrive/ depart Secunderabad at 9.50 am/ 9.55 am on the next day and reach Hyderabad at 10.50 am. Train No. 07453 Secunderabad – Tirupati Sankranti special train will depart Secunderabad at 7.40 pm on January 12 and reach Tirupati at 7.50 am on the next day.
Train No. 07449 Secunderabad – Berhampur Sankranti clone special train will depart Secunderabad at 5.50 pm and reach Berhampur at 12.05 noon on the next day. In the return direction, Train No. 07450 Berhampur – Secunderabad Sankranti clone special train will depart Berhampur at 1.30 pm and reach Secunderabad at 7.15 am on the next day.
Cancellation extended:
Meanwhile, Ministry of Railways has decided to extend the time limit beyond six months and up to nine months from the date of journey for cancellation of PRS counter tickets and refund of fare across reservation counters for the journey period March 21, 2020 to July 31, 2020.
It is applicable only for regular time tabled trains cancelled by Railways. In case of ticket cancelled through 139 or through IRCTC website, the time limit for surrendering of such ticket for the above mentioned period across reservation counter upto nine months from the date of journey.
After lapse of six months from the date of journey, many passengers may have deposited the tickets to Claims Office of Zonal Railways through TDR or through general application along with original tickets, full refund of fare on such PRS counter tickets shall also be allowed for such passengers.
