Delhi govt announces 7-day mandatory quarantine for UK returnees

New Delhi, Jan 8 (UNI) In order to protect the Delhiites from both the new and old variants of Novel Coronavirus, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday announced that the travellers coming from the UK to national capital, will have to undergo a mandatory seven-day institutional quarantine, even if they test negative for COVID-19.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Mr Kejriwal posted, 'To protect Delhiites from exposure to virus from UK, Del govt takes imp decisions. All those arriving from UK, who test positive will be isolated in an isolation facility.

'Negative ones will be taken to a quarantine facility for 7 days, followed by 7 days home quarantine,' Mr Kejriwal said in another tweet.
