BENGALURU: Karnataka government on Thursday issued a yellow alert in various districts including Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, Udupi, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, Kodagu and Shivamogga for the next two days.
Most districts of Karnataka are likely to receive fairly heavy to moderate rains at isolated places during next 48 hours.
The rains are due to cyclonic circulation over central part of Arabian sea and southern part of Bay of Bengal.
Malnad and coastal districts are likely to receive widespread and heavy rains while south and north interior Karnataka districts likely to receive scattered to widespread with light to moderate at few places with thunder activity.
