JEE Advanced 2021 exam for admissions to IITs to be held on July 3
JEE-Advanced exam for admission to IITs will be conducted on July 3. The relaxation in admission requirement of 75 per cent marks in class 12 will continue this year also.

NEW DELHI: The JEE-Advanced test for admission to Indian Institutes of Technology will be conducted on July 3, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' announced on Thursday.
The relaxation in admission requirement of 75 per cent marks in class 12 which was announced last year in view of Covid-19 pandemic will be offered this year as well, he said.
"Like last year, this year too we have removed the minimum 75% marks (aggregate in XII class) criteria for appearing in the JEE Advanced examination, as it will allow more candidates to take the test. This year the IIT-Kharagpur will conduct the test on July 3, 2021", education minister Pokhriyal announced on Twitter.
Earlier, a general category student should have secured 75% aggregate marks in the class XII or equivalent exam or should find a place in the top 20 percentile of the Board results to secure the seat. But this year, just qualifying marks are sufficient for the JEE Advanced qualified candidates.
The Joint Entrance Exam (Main) will be conducted in four sessions in February, March, April and May starting from February 23 to 26, 2021.
The next sessions of the exam will take place between March 15-18, April 27-30 and May 24-28.
Earlier, Union Education Minister announced that the CBSE class 10th and 12th board exams 2021 will be conducted from May 4 to June 10 and the results will be declared by July 15.
