Costa Rica's ICE to connect 14 indigenous territories by end of 2022

Costa Rica's Superintendency of Telecommunications (Sutel) said the delayed projects to bring internet and telephony services to 14 indigenous territories for the first time will be carried out between July 2021 and December 2022. State-owned operator ICE was awarded the USD 48 million tender to implement the two digital divide projects in the country's Atlantic and southern regions back in 2019.
