Tamil Nadu minister for food and civil supplies R Kamaraj, who tested positive for
Covid-19 and admitted to
MIOT Hospital in Chennai, is asymptomatic and stable, doctors said on Thursday.
A medical bulletin from MIOT managing director Dr Prithvi Mohandas said the minister was admitted to hospital on January 5 for observation. "His CT scan is normal. He is asymptomatic, comfortable in room air and not needing any supplemental oxygen. He will be discharged shortly," it said.
