ETMarkets.comBenchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 49.45 points up at 14195.70 on Thursday on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Among the stocks that touched their 52-week high on NSE were: Ashok Leyland; Bharat Forge; Godrej Properties; ICICI Bank; Jindal Steel & Power; JSW Steel; JK Cement; Narayana Hrudayalaya; Radico Khaitan; SBI Cards and Payment Services; Supreme Industries; Tata Steel; UltraTech Cement; Vedanta Ltd.
Overall, 30 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 20 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.
In the Nifty 50 index, Tata Steel, Hindalco Industries, Adani Ports SEZ, UPL and HDFC were among top gainers, while Titan Company , Infosys, Hind. Unilever, TCS and Divi's Labs were trading in red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 122.90 points up at 48296.96. Traders were seen piling up position in Diversified, Metals - Non Ferrous, Airlines, Shipping and Real Estate sectors, while selling were visible in Electric/Electronics, General, Learning & Education, Trading and Gems and Jewellery sectors.
