PM Modi launches 306-km stretch of Western DFC, says freight corridor project will lead to rapid development
PM Narendra Modi on Thursday dedicated the 306-km New Rewari-New Madar section of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC) to the nation. The Prime Minister also flagged-off the world's first electrified double-stack long-haul 1.5-km-long container train from New Ateli-New Kishangarh, via video link. Addressing the event he said the dedicated freight corridor project is being seen as a game changer for India in the 21st century and will lead to rapid development of the country.
