47 new Covid cases, 35 recoveries, one death recorded in Manipur

Imphal, Jan 7 (UNI) A person died of Covid while 47 new cases were
detected and 35 recovered in Manipur/ In the past twenty-four hours,
44 persons (24M, 20F) from the general population and 3 personnel from
Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new COVIDI9
positive cases.
The positive persons were tested at Imphal West (12), RIMS (9), JNIMS
(13), Shija Hospital (4), RD Wing (1), Babina Diagnostics (4),
Churachandpur (3) and Noney (1).
The positive cases from the general population were from Imphal West (27), Imphal East (11), Bishnupur (1), Chandel (2), Churachandpur (1), Noney (1) and Ukhrul (1). All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing were in place.
In the last 24 hours, one person aged 92 yrs (male, Churachandpur)
expired at District Hospital Churachandpur. The cumulative number of
deaths was 364.
The total number of discharged persons was 35. They were from CAPF
(8), Home Isolation (20), JNIMS (3), RIMS (2), RD Wing (1) and Rajmed (1).
The cumulative number of positive cases was 28,531 (General Population
— 25,145 and Central Security Personnel — 3,386). The cumulative
number of recovered cases was 27,677 (General Population — 24,316 and
Central Security Personnel — 3,361). The number of active cases was
490 (General Population — 469 and Central Security Personnel — 21).
The recovery rate was 97.00 pc.
