Bollywood actor Rahul Roy, who suffered a brain stroke last month on the sets of his upcoming project in Kargil has been discharged from the hospital and is back home. Rahul, who is an ardent social media user, had earlier shared several pictures from the hospital as he got his strength back bit by bit. The senior actor was initially admitted to the Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai where he underwent treatment. Later, he was shifted to Wockhardt Hospital situated at Mira Road in Mumbai. Confirming the news of the actor's discharge, Rahul’s brother-in-law Romeer Sen stated that the actor is delighted to be home. His speech and physiotherapy will reportedly continue for some time. Romeer further added that he will be fine in 6-7 months. Earlier this week, the actor provided health updates on social media. Sharing pictures from the hospital with his sister Pia Grace Roy and his brother Rohit, who is in Canada, he wrote, 'Family love'. He also shared a throwback photograph with his mother, and present-day photographs wearing a Santa Claus cap standing beside his sister Pia. For the caption, he wrote, 'Merry Christmas to all my fans. Becoming a Santa from the hospital, along with my Mom, Brother Rohit, sister @priyankaroy_pia, and brother in law @romeersen. My wish for this year from Santa would be that I recover completely and get back to shoot soon, and the world gets back to normal too. Love you all'. For the uninitiated, the actor rose to fame back in the 1990s when he played the lead role in the movie 'Aashiqui' co-starring Anu Aggarwal. The romantic drama was directed by Mahesh Bhatt.
