Ted Danson Gushes Over Wife Mary Steenburgen In Cute Interview

Ted Danson is gushing over his wife, actress Mary Steenburgen, in a new interview.
While promoting his new series, Mr. Mayor, the 73-year-old actor opened up about the secret to his long marriage with Mary, who he’s been married to for 25 years.
“I’m in love. We’re in love. That handles a lot,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “We make each other laugh. I admire her…If I could be a woman, I’d want to be her.”
Ted adds that they also “delight in each other, and we’re pretty disciplined about being celebratory of what we have.”
Mary and Ted met on the set of Pontiac Moon in 1993 and married in 1995.
Ted also shared that Mary is the one helping him learn lines for Mr. Mayor which will premiere tomorrow, January 7 on NBC, and shared a funny story about it.
“You know, she’s the worst line runner for our show ’cause she has hysterics and laughs,” he shared. “It takes forever for me to learn anything because she insists on doing all of Holly [Hunter]‘s lines, you know, ’cause she thinks they’re so funny. So, she’s terrible at that.”
Previously, Mary was married to Malcolm McDowell, who she shares son Charlie and daughter Lilly with. Charlie is engaged to actress Lily Collins.
Ted has two daughters of his own, Kate and Alexis.
