China Telecom tests quantum encrypted calls

China Telecom is testing quantum encrypted phone calls in Anhui province using a special SIM card and smartphone app, according to South China Morning Post. Customers must visit a China Telecom shop to get the SIM card that makes possible the new feature, a company statement said. The feature also requires the company's "quantum secure call" app, which is currently only available for Android.
