
Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 10.60 points down at 14210.10 on Wednesday on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: Apollo Hospitals; Coforge; Havells India; HCL Technologies; Jet Airways; Just Dial; Marico; Motherson Sumi Systems; Persistent Systems; Sun Pharma; Tata Power; Titan; Wipro.
Overall, 37 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 13 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.
In the Nifty 50 index, GAIL, ONGC, Indian Oil Corp, Bharti Airtel and Wipro were among top gainers, while ITC, RIL, Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance and Hindustan Unilever were trading in red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 6.85 points down at 48430.93. Traders were seen piling up position in Metals - Non Ferrous, Defence, Irrigation & Allied Services, Diversified and IT Enabled Services sectors, while selling were visible in Electric/Electronics, Agro Processing, Learning & Education, General and Tobacco sectors.
