Absconding accused in SSI Wilson murder case arrested at Chennai airport, to be grilled by NIA in Kerala

Chennai, Jan 06 (UNI) In a major breakthrough, one of the key-accused in the SSI Y.Wilson murder case and declared as a proclaimed offender by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) was arrested by the immigration officials at the Anna international airport here this evening.



The wanted accused Sahabudeen (35) against whom a look out notice was issued by the Kerala police, a year ago was arrested on perusal of his documents when he arrived from Qatar by an Indigo airlines flight.



He was being taken to Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, where he will be questioned by the NIA authorities.



The SSI, attached to Kaliyakkavilai police station in Kanyakumari district was stabbed and shot dead by two Islamic extremists A.Abdul Shameem (32) and M.Thoufique (28), when the cop was conducting vehicle check at the Padanthalumoodu check post at the Tamil Nadu-Kerala inter-State border check post here on January 8.



The murder was to take revenge for the arrest of C.Khaja Moideen, an ISIS operative by the Delhi police recently.
