Minor killed in accidental fire in Kishtwar

Jammu, Jan 6 (UNI) A minor was killed in an accident fire when his teenage cousin brother opened fire while fiddling with the rifle of his father, a village defence committee member in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Police here said that an information received on Wednesday evening that one minor boy namely Amit Kumar,8, son of Om Prakash was accidentally shot and killed by his cousin brother namely Ravi Kumar, son of Dharam Singh, 13, was playing with VDC rifle of his father at his residential house in village Chudyana, Tehsil Dharabshalla, District Kishtwar.
Police have registered the case and started the investigations.

Bird flu alert sounded in MP

Bhopal, Jan 6 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Wednesday directed that no stone be left unturned vis-à-vis prevention and control of avian influenza, it was officially learnt.
The senior politician chaired a review meeting attended by top bureaucrats at his residence. The districts have been made aware of central guidelines. Poultry is prohibited for a limited period from Kerala, etc. Crow deaths have been reported in some places and confirmation of the cause is awaited from the National Institute of High Security Animal Diseases. A state-wide alert has been sounded. The Animal Husbandry and allied departments plus agencies will conduct random checks and provide information to the public. Divisional teams are closely monitoring reservoirs, farms and markets. There has been no report of unnatural death of poultry.

Bhopal, Jan 6 (UNI) Radhabai – a resident of Indore’s Bhagirathpura – was beside herself with joy on Wednesday when her lunch guest Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan arrived at her humble dwelling!
Official sources said that the veteran leader asked his host regarding her means of livelihood. Radhabai’s spouse toils as labourer. One of their children has a medical problem. The senior politician directed Collector Manish Singh to ensure treatment and have a concrete abode constructed for the family.

IAA to get more land: MP CM

Bhopal, Jan 6 (UNI) Underlining the necessity for expansion of Indore Airport, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan assured on Wednesday that the Airport Authority will be provided 22 acres, official sources said.
“Our beloved state is the future logistics hub of India. The Indore Cargo Hub will prove to be a milestone in this regard. A logistics axis shall be developed within a 20-km radius of the Airport. I felicitate the local administration for appropriating a large consignment of drugs recently,” the senior politician averred.

MP CM distributes reimbursement

Bhopal, Jan 6 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan disbursed monetary compensation in Indore on Wednesday against land acquired for development of an industrial area, it was officially learnt.
Addressing an event at the Brilliant Convention Centre, the senior politician averred, “Our mantra is sabka saath-sabka vikas and universal trust is a prerequisite. As many as 121 of our cultivator brethren and landowners have handed over acreage. The factories to be established will translate into employment for in excess of 25,000 people. The land pooling process shall be implemented across the state. The corporate sector has lost confidence in China and desires to establish units in Madhya Pradesh.”

A total 586 hectares have been acquired in Pithampur, where more than 200 factories will be set up and investment exceeding Rs 500 crore made.
