Chandigarh: Three ex-defence personnel duped of Rs 11 lakh on job promise

CHANDIGARH: An ex-Armyman was allegedly duped of Rs 5.20 lakhs on the pretext of providing him a job at a security services agency. The complainant submitted a complaint at the SSP window at Sector 9 on Monday. Two more ex-Armymen have also complained against the same company.
In his complaint, Dharam Pal, a resident of Gurdaspur, Punjab, reported to the cops that he retired as a Subedar from the Indian army and allegedly contacted the Griffith Security Services in Sector 17 for a job after seeing an advertisement in a newspaper on August 14, 2020, who duped him of Rs 5 lakhs. Another person Sri Krishna, a resident of Panchkula, also submitted a comapliant and alleged that he was dupod of Rs 3.22 lakhs by the same company. One more complaint has been submitted against the company by Satnam Singh as he was duped of Rs 2.70 lakhs.
