Australia updates Emergency Call Service Requirements Code

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has released a new version of the Emergency Call Service Requirements Code. The new code includes updates to align with the Telecommunications (Emergency Call Service) Determination 2019. The ACMA reports that the code deals with the operation of the emergency call service, and places specific obligations on carriers and carriage service providers involved in delivering the emergency call service to end-users.
