Street Play "Nupi Thiba kijei" staged at Charangpat

Thoubal, January 04 2021: The Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign Committee, Thoubal district under the Ministry of Social justice and Empowerment, Government of India organised a Street Play "Nupi Thiba Kijei" and distributed IEC material at RYDO Club, Charangpat in Thoubal district, today.

The Programme was attended by Keisham Meghachandra Singh, MLA Wangkhem AC; Thiyam Khambi Devi, Upa-Pradhan, Charangpat GP; Kharibam Shanti Devi, Ward member, Charangpat GP; Thounaojam Nara Meitei, Social worker; Laitonjam Jarma Singh, Social worker; Thokchom Lokendro (Kokngang) Singh, Social worker; Lourembam Anita Devi, Ex Pradhan, Charangpat GP and Arambam Kameshwar Singh, District Social Welfare Officer Thoubal as presidium members.

As a part of the programme, experts spoke on the role of family and society on the 'Prevention of Drugs and Alcohol Abuse', said a statement of the DLC on NMBCC, Thoubal.

The villagers appreciated the initiative of Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign Committee for delivering awareness on the 'Prevention of Drugs and Alcohol Abuse' through the Street Play.

Later, IEC materials were distributed to all the participants as a part of the awareness programme, it added.

The programme was organised conforming to the SOPs of COVID-19 protection as mandated by the State Government.
