Respawn, the studio behind Titanfall 2, Apex Legends, and Jedi Fallen Order, is starting work on a new IP. It's simply a small incubation team for now, so the new game--if it materializes at all--could be quite far off.

This comes from a new job listing found on the Respawn website (via VGC) for a generalist software engineer. It doesn't offer many details beyond that, other than suggesting the new hire will work on "new, practical technologies to enable 'adventuring forever'." That could indicate plans for a live game.

Respawn may have a few projects in the works. Aside from ongoing support for Apex Legends, the studio and parent company EA have suggested possibilities like another Titanfall or a sequel to Jedi Fallen Order. Apex Legends, one of its biggest successes as a successful entry in the competitive battle royale market, takes place within the Titanfall universe.

Last year, EA added its catalog to Steam, after long reserving most of its PC games for its own Origin service. That included Titanfall 2, which is widely regarded as one of the most successful recent first-person shooters.
