ETMarkets.comBenchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 17.15 points up at 14150.05 on Tuesday on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Among the stocks that touched their 52-week high on NSE were: Amara Raja Batteries; Berger Paints; Coforge; Cipla; Grasim Industries; Havells India; Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC); KNR Constructions; MindTree; Oberoi Realty; Pidilite Industries; Sterlite Technologies; Tata Power Company; Voltas.
Overall, 20 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 30 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.
In the Nifty 50 index, Axis Bank, HDFC, Wipro, HDFC Life and TCS were among top gainers, while Hindalco Industries, Tata Motors, Bajaj Finance, JSW Steel and ONGC were trading in red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 93.58 points up at 48270.38. Traders were seen piling up position in Rubber, Diversified, Services, Leather and Textiles sectors, while selling were visible in Electric/Electronics, Learning & Education, Agro Processing, General and Trading sectors.
