BENGALURU: Cognizant Technology Solutions India reported Rs 31,050 crore (about $4 billion) in revenue for the FY20, a 2% jump over the previous fiscal.
Net profit dropped 11% to Rs 5,455 crore during the same period. Cognizant had almost $17 billion in revenue in 2019, of which India accounted for about a quarter.
In terms of headcount though, Indians comprised 2 lakh, or 70%, of its 2.8 lakh employees.
Leadership changes and new appointments continued at Cognizant as the company appointed Shinji Murakami as the head of its operations in Japan and a member of Cognizant’s global growth markets (GGM) leadership team effective January 4.
As the head of Cognizant Japan KK, Cognizant’s Japan subsidiary, Murakami would lead the strategic expansion of the IT giant in Japan, the company said.
