Owing to the heavy rainfall in Chennai since Monday, nine flights — including three international flights — have been delayed.

Chennai: Flights that did operate on Tuesday used aerobridges to help passengers embark hassle-free. But, there were delays in departure especially for flights which had to use pick-up buses.
Those arriving in Chennai, however, did not face delays.
Several parts of Chennai received moderate to heavy rains on Tuesday under the influence of an easterly trough and according to the MET, heavy rain and thunderstorms are likely to continue on Wednesday.

Six domestic aircrafts to Thoothukudi, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, Patna, Hubli and Ahmedabad were stalled for 30 minutes. Whereas, three international flights to Sri Lanka, Sharjah and Dubai were an hour behind schedule.
