EC launches digital cultural heritage centre and education projects

The European Commission announced the launch of a European competence centre tasked with the digital preservation and conservation of European cultural heritage coordinated by Italy's Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare. The 4CH centre, which will work for a period of three years, has been granted up to EUR 3 million from the Horizon 2020 programme and will have a total of 19 beneficiaries from 11 EU Member States, Switzerland and Moldova.
