The Supreme Court of India is set to pass a verdict on Tuesday, January 5, on a set of petitions challenging the centre’s decision to demolish and reconstruct the Parliament and Central vista- Rajpath. A three-judge panel of justices AM Khanwilkar, Sajeev Khanna and Dinesh Maheshwari is set to pronounce the verdict at 10.30 am Tuesday.
The total novel coronavirus cases in India has surged to 1,03,56,845 after 16,375 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours. The death toll has reached 1,49,850 with the inclusion of 201 new deaths, according to the latest update by the Union Health Ministry.
The BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) on Tuesday confirmed that wicketkeeper-batsman KL Rahul has been ruled out of the remaining two test matches against Australia due to a wrist injury he sustained during net practice on Saturday.
