HYDERABAD: BJP state chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Monday raked up the issue of desecration of Hindu temple idols in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh and said only one religion seems to matter there.
Addressing a press conference here, Sanjay warned that the ruling YSR Congress will pay a big price if Hindu gods’ idols continue to be desecrated. “We are not against any religion. But, we will not keep quiet and fight against the idols of Hindu gods are desecrated in this manner,” he said.
Harping on his Hindutva agenda and without naming any religion, he said: “In Telangana, TRS government is appeasing one religion and in Andhra, one religion is ruling the roost.”
Calling for a total overhaul of endowments department in AP, Sanjay said their patience is running out.
