Punjab: 25 fresh Covid-19 cases and 28 discharges reported in Ambala

AMBALA: Ambala district reported 25 fresh Covid-19 positive cases on Tuesday taking the tally to 11,612 with 152 active cases, said district civil surgeon Dr Kuldeep Singh.
He said Ambala city reported 10 Covid-19 cases, followed by Chourmastpur (6), Ambala Cantt (5), and Barara Mullana, Naraingarh and Shahzadpur (1 each).
As many as 28 patients were discharged, taking the recovery count to 11,315 with a recovery rate of 97.44%, he said.
He added that a total of 145 deaths have been reported in the district so far with a mortality rate of 1.23% and case doubling rate is 500 days.
“So far, we have collected 1,87,936 samples for Covid-19 testing in Ambala, of which, 1,48,577 are RT-PCR samples and 39,359 are antigen testing kit samples. In Ambala, we have collected 1,66,610 samples per 10 lakh population, said Dr Singh.
