CHENNAI: Three more people, who tested Covid-positive after returning to Chennai from the UK, were found to have the mutant strain of the viral infection, the National Institute of Virology in Pune told the state health department on Monday.
This takes the total number of people in TN with the new strain to four.
The three patients were admitted to the National Institute of Aging at the King Institute of Preventive Medicine campus.
"They have mild or no symptoms. They are being monitored closely by our doctors," health secretary J Radhakrishnan said.
